XML template has problem pulling data from custom table

Another way to look at this is:  we are trying to create the XML document in our App Engine, populating the XML file with the temporary tables and running the created XML document as the DataSource

when we call the BI_XMLP is where we hit the error.  We did see something similar on the site talking about this segment casuing an issue EBI9.1: BI_PRNXPN01 XML Publisher Invoice Is Going To No Success At BI_XMLP.NonCons.GenFile (PeopleCode). [ID 1501755.1] while the return code was the same error the PC error did not sound the same. 

We are creating a new XML formatted invoice to pull new fields into a modified XML template.  We have created the new app engine with associated table to pull additional data .
