How to setup vacation rule for other user

hi,
just would like to know how we could setup a vacation rule for end-user? Without login-in to his own account or going to his notification work list? Our user is currently on-leave now for two weeks. And there's no way we could request him to set this up by logging-in to his account anymore unless he provides to us his password which is not possible to get from user. And if we could use the SYSADMIN account to set this up? Pls advise. thanks.
