Write Conflict when updating link table using 11g ODBC driver (version 11.02.00.03)

I upgraded the database to 11.2.0.3 and during that time we are in process of upgrading all clients from XP to Win7 64bit OS.  In doing so, we noticed we can not continue using the 9i client but have to upgrade to 10g or 11g client.   We were using the 10g client but seems to have a bug with packet sizes on large tables so, we decided to go with the 11g version.  We also found there are a lot of bugs with this version as well.  I have upgraded the client to 11.2.0.3 version and applied the 16656150 patch.
