Upgrade from 8.51 to 8.53

Dear Experts, 

  We are in the process of Upgrading our People Tools from 8.51 to 8.53. Being new to the Upgrade process, I want some valuable suggestions from your expertise.  

  1) Do we install PT 8.53 on top of the existing PS_HOME(8.51)?
  2) After installing 8.53, We use the CA in 8.53 PS_HOME to perform the Upgrade?
  3) We have to upgrade our Tuxedo from 10.3 to 11G, Is it a better idea to deinstall the existing tuxedo version and install the new version? 
  4) We have to upgrade our Web logic from 10.3.0.4 to 10.3.0.6, Do we have to deinstall the existing server and install the new one. 

   Along with this provide me some good information that I should consider while doing such Upgrades
