need urgent help (LDAP)

when i am trying to give below command in one of our server  which is a ldap client
its throwing below error.... any suggestions ?

ldaplist passwd
ldaplist: LDAP configuration problem (Unable to load configuration '/var/ldap/ldap_client_file' ('').)
