RMS 12.0.11 DOCCLOSE Rule

We are on RMS 12.0.11 and am looking for documentation on the DOCCLOSE batch functionality. We have the RMS Operations Guide, but it is very vague on the rules for closing POs and Transfers. Can someone provide somthing with more detailed rules DOCCLOSE uses to close POs and Transfers?
