2 Versions of People Tools (8.51 & 8.53) in the same Windows Server

Dear Experts, 

   We are in the process of Upgrading our People Tools  from 8.51 to 8.53. Currently we are in the planning phase. 

   Due to some critical projects we couldnt freeze our development but continue with couple of projects in Parallel with the Upgrade. 

  Our concern is when we are doing PT upgrade in DEV, can we have PS_HOMEs with 8.51 & 8.53 in the same server. Is this feasible. 

  Please help me by identifying if there are any issues in doing it that way.
