Hello Fellow GL Users,
I am posting the following question for the customer:
The NEXT numbering is not always used when journals are entered. Are there any best practices to determine how to identify ONL journals that have various purposes? Examples include correcting entries, inter departmental billings, etc.
Per the customer:
"We had an audit recommendation last year noting inconsistencies in journal naming conventions. For Example on a correcting entry some users.campuses use "NEXT" pretty consistently, others start correcting jrnls with the "C" some "COR", etc. I have thought of using additional journal sources as you noted but were wanted to check if there were other options before we start creating additional journal sources.
