8.50 - 8.53 upgrade: can I restart PTUPGCONVERT if PSPCMTXT table is partially populated?

Blew out the Oracle tablespace housing PSPCMTXT during the PTUPGCONVERT AE step.  Can I restart this step after fixing the tablespace issue?  Should I delete data from PSPCMTXT first?
