PT8.53 - App Engine doing remote call to Cobol produces extra .ERR and .OUT - Is this new with PT 8.

We are currently upgrading our CSS V9.0 environment from PT8.51 to PT 8.53.   Our latest bundle applied is CSSBU28.  During QNA testing, we were testing an App Engine process that does a remote call to a delivered Cobol process (SFPQKONL) and noticed that we are getting extra .ERR and .OUT files from this cobol process within Process Monitor that we did not see under PT 8.51. 

Is this something new from PT 8.52? or PT 8.53? 

Is this something that is configurable to turn off  the .ERR and .OUT files that are being sent to Process Monitor?

I had originally posted this issue as a Service Request 3-7301592711 since we originally thought that the Quick Post Process was erroring out based iob these additional files in Process Monitor.   Now, it appears that the charges are being posted to the student account.  We are more interested to explain why we are seeing these additional files in Process Monitor.
