Document on how to clone the PeopleSoft application tier

 Hi,
Tried searching in MOS for this document and so far I have come across:

E-INST PT8.4x, PT 8.5x: How to Copy a PeopleSoft Environment [ID 643499.1].

But this note says its unsupported.

Is there a document that details how to restore all these components ( webserver, apps server, process scheduler) from backups onto a 
fresh server?

Customer is on PT version 8.46 and HCM8.9 on Solaris10, DB10.2.0.5.
