Correct Archtecture of RMS, RDF, and MFP
I am new to Oracle Retail but have 15 yrs experience in Oracle EBS that I am trying to overcome.
In our installation of RMS/RDF/MFP, everything is set-up as totally different systems that keep each other in synch. I can understand that the databases are logically separate, but we have them running on entirely different servers instead of one Oracle Database. Is that the "normal" approach? Coming from EBS where everything lived together, this just seems so wrong, so I am curious if our installation was done this way because it had to be or if there was some other reason.
