How to upgrade modified online help without losing modification?

Hi,
we using a modified peoplesoft system 9.2 (customized field / requirements, modified stylesheets / screenshots). 

We plan to integrate the online help with a central Oracle UPK system:
- indepedend system for online help
- technical writers have access and can modify text and screenshots
- Integration of translation system

Question: How can we merge our changes into the official online help (for example: if there is a new version available)?

Comments or URLs with some information would be helpful.
