Workflow jumping approvers
Is anyone familiar with a workflow jumping over approvers in a list? We customized the PA Project Workflow, and it has worked really well for many years almost all of the time, but we occassionally get the following example:
The project is setup with approvers 1,2,3,4,5,6, and 7. The workflow goes correctly from 1 to 2, but after approver 2 approves it, it skips to approver 5. We write to the wf_item_attribute_values table, and the table suggests that approvers 3 and 4 approved the workflow. But the workflow history does not show 3 and 4 approving. (The exact numbers in the sequence are variable.)
We have observed this before with one particular approver, but cannot replicate it. Could there be some setup on their account that we are unaware of?
