Serve-over items with multiple PLUs/Barcodes

Hi fellow members

We have serve-over-the-counter items, such as fresh meat and fresh fish which are sold often under a multibuy - e.g. sell at $1 each, sell 4 for $3.50.
When the in-store scales barcode is placed on the bag, a different plu/barcode is placed on the bag, depending on whether the customer buys 1 or buys 4. This avoids the need to place 4 of the stickers on the bag, or provide each one in a separate bag with its own barcode. This is quite common in grocery supermarkets (so I have been told!)
However, as a result, we have 2 separate SKUs for each of the PLUs. The first SKU represents the item sold as a single, the 2nd SKU represents the item sold as a pack of 4 (with a price 4 times as large and an multibuy promo on it to deduct $0.50 if ONE is bought).

Howdy, Stranger!
