SES replaces Verity on HCM 9.2?

Hi All,
I just installed HCM 9.2/PT8.53 demo database on Windows 2008R2 with Oracle 11g.  I noticed the portal search is no longer working even I ran the Build Portal Search Index which we normally do on HCM 9.1/PT850.  Is it true that SES replaces the Verity on HCM 9.2?  Also I heard that the SES 11.1.2.2 released together with the HCM 9.2 is not certified on Windows 2008R2 server, is this true?  Your comment is greatly appreciated.
