Bank Statement Accounting - Defaults

 Hello out there,
Has any experienced any difficulties with the Bank Statement Accounting Defaults ? I have no problems with the individual rules, as I have them working perfectly. My problem is with the Bank Statement Accounting Default which cannot be turned off ! Every day I receive a miscellaneous Deposit on my bank statement which we can identify by the description and use the pattern match to create the external transaction. The external transaction is then automatically reconciled against the bank statement entry. This functionality works perfectly.

What does not work so well is if the bank statement contains a second/third Misc Deposit which does not fit into my Pattern match. These transactions are completely random and will never fit into any pattern match as I cannot predict who will pay what into my account. But each of these refund payments are reconciled by the user inputting an AP Voucher. Therefore they do not require an external transaction. As the bank statement default rule has been applied and external transaction is automatically created causing an our of balance, until the automatically created external transactions have been deleted.

Howdy, Stranger!
