PeopleSoft WorkCenters: GL WorkCenter Example Review

edited Aug 19, 2013 4:39PM in Financial Management - PSFT (MOSC) 1 comment
WorkCentes were introduced in PeopleSoft 9.2, and offer a paradigm-shift on how users conduct business in a PeopleSoft application. The theory is well documented in published references; this post is about a real-life example review using the FMS General Ledger WorkCenter. Hopefully, this will help better 'visualization' of WorkCenters effectiveness in practical daily tasks.
Navigation:
PeopleSoft Login > Main Menu > General Ledger > GL WorkCenter (usually at bottom of menu options)

Layout:
There are 2 tabs (Pagelet Groups): Main and Reports/Queries [images attached]

Main > usually divided into 2 sections (Pagelets): My Work and Links.

--My Work contains 2 sub-sections:
1. Current Work, which has tasks assigned to the user (e.g. Journals Ready for Processing, Journal Pending My Approval, etc.)

Howdy, Stranger!
