Link aggregation - Query on LACP mode
As I understand once the aggregation is created, 802.3ad will be used to balance the load depending on the
policy ( L2,L3 or L4). The only requirement is those ports need to be connected to a switch ( with auto neg/full duplex) which supports 802.3ad.
This way the aggregation will be used for load balancing and also if one interface fails, still the traffic will go through the
other active interfaces.
By default LACP mode is set to off . What would be the benefit of enabling LACP.
Also what would be the consequences if a host has an aggregation with LACP mode set to "off" but the switch ports are
