Integration Broker NODES and ROUTINGS get copied from SOURCE

We are upgrading PeopleSoft Finance 8.9 to Finance 9.2

 Windows 2008 on all servers - MSS SQL 2008 - PeopleTools  8.53.02

We have completed the initial pass and the first MTP

The problem is that each time we go through a pass, the IB setup gets hosed and mixed with the setups from the SOURCE DB

This is bad at go-live

Is there a documented way to keep the IB settings from the TARGET (which of course will be prod at go-live

Why would Oracle want to copy all of the NODE definitions and routings from SOURCE, everything is intended to end up in TARGET, so shouldn't that be the settings we want
