DB upgrade from Oracle 10g to Oracle 11gR2 for an Oracle Retail 13.0.2 suite installation

 We are planning to upgrade the existing database to a newer version (from 10g to 11gR2) but we've found in the Oracle Retail compatibility matrix that the version 13.0.2 is not compatible with 11gR2.

Basing on this assumption we thought that it is not possible at all to perform such upgrade without moving to a newer version of the Oracle Retail suite.
Anyway, looking for some other tips, we've found the metalink article 1435959.1 where it is described the possibility to manage such upgrade without touching the Oracle Retail installation (let me say "migrating" from 10g platform to 11g), being also available a support for bug-fixes (maybe not active for potential enhancements).
