EDI Manager - deprecated in Tools 8.53

We found this note regarding EDI Manger in the Tools 8.53 release notes.  Admissions has a replacement technology but I haven't found one for Financial Aid.  Are there any plans for alternative technology to replace EDI in the Financial Aid are of Campus Solutions?

deprecated in the PeopleTools 8.53 release and will not be available after the PeopleTools 8.54

release:

 

• Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Manager.

• Forms API.

• Query API.
