Distribution Agent not deleting files from log_output directory

So I've got a custom process, I designed a C# command line program to run from the process scheduler, that writes to the .log file that is automatically generated in the log_output directory.  The file is correctly posted to the report repository, but the distribution agent doesn't delete the directory afterwards.  Almost everything I've read just says it "deletes the directory."  There was only one place, can't remember where it was, that said it only deletes the directory when the output type is set to "Web."  I've tried this however and got no success from it.  I've looked through the log, and
