Process Scheduler - create domain - 1.nt / 2.windows

Hello.

I am looking to the community to help me understand which and why of the two choices I should take.

Yesterday, as suggest in the PT 8.52.17 patch notes, I deleted and created my Process Scheduler domain. I was asked to chose 1. nt or 2. windows.

I had asked this question before and could not find my note on which one to chose. 

I picked 2. windows. Why? We run on Windows 2008 R2.

Would someone in this group be able to explain why there is a choice and which one should I have chosen and why.
