Issue in status diagram while reassigning a request

During the processing of workflow, if a performer reassigns the request through Reassign option, then status diagram of the process do not get updated automatically.

Is this the standard behavior?

Even after reassigning the request from Supervisor role to approver role, status diagram is still showing the process as waiting for supervisor response
