Strategy Work Item Escalations - What determines who receives them?

Hi,

When a strategy work item escalates, what determines who gets the notifcation of the escalation and where is this setup?

The reason I ask is that a Collector recently moved to a different position in the organization and now reports to a different manager. However, when the collectors work item escalates, it is still routed to the old manager.

We have checked the HR module and the employee is correctly reporting to the new manager but the work items are escalating to the old manager.

Is there a hierarchy in HRMS that potentially hasn't been updated.

Any clues?
