the importance of the c:\<domain>\jre\bin entry in the PATH environmental variable ???

I need help in understanding the importance of the c:\<domain>\jre\bin entry in the PATH environmental variables on a server.

I found that our production server for Finance has this entry in the PATH variable. Our production server for HCM does not.

I am new to this realm and wondered if someone could tell me the importance of this entry in the PATH variable.

And the impact, if any, it has by it not being there.

I will be applying tax updates to our HCM 8.9 system this coming Saturday.

In reviewing/comparing I noticed that this specific entry was not PATH on our production HCM server.
