Applying recommended patches reverts sendmail.cf and snmpd.conf

I have just applied 10 recommended patches to my Solaris 10 update 9, and discovered it has changed my sendmail.cf and snmpd.conf files back to detault settings.

Do recommended patches always do this?

What other files should I be checking?

I have to put back in the security changes to snmp and mail, which were recommended after our last security test, a bit frustrating.

I have copies of our own files we were using prior to patching, but wondering if putting the old version of the files is advisable.

So I was just going to add in the relay server and the security settings ie. Privacy novfry and my snmpd passwds etc into the new files.

Howdy, Stranger!
