t4-1 nxge6 connected to laptop not working / t4-1 igb0 connected to laptop working perfectly

Hello
I have a virtual box solaris 10 vm configured as jumpsart server.
With this one I installed a lot of t4-1 connecting my laptop to the igb0 installed on the server (onboard net)

Today I tryed the same but I was asked to use another ethernet interface  not onboard but taking one from the pci card installed  a quad gigabit (nxge driver)

I used nxge6....this interface works perfectly because it was originally configure on the operational lan.
I simply disconnected the cable and I connected it to my laptop with a xcable.
the first weird thing I noticed is that LED stay switched off.
