Server Side Word/Excel for HRMS 9.1 on Tools 8.52

Do we required Word and/or Excel on our NT Process Schedular?   Word is not listed in 8.52 Hardware/Software guide and Excel seems to be only used with NVision.

I don't think HRMS 9.1 has any delivered NVision reports.  RIght?

Our internal security is concerned about placing Word/Excel on the Server - as it is not our standard.  I am not sure it is even required for our installation. 

Seems like report output to type XLS are done with some XML trickery and doesn't actually use Excel until opened via the desktop.

Crystals to output type DOC maybe?

Any thoughts or suggestions?
