LACP across two Juniper switches, no need for IPMP?
Hi,I'm building a couple of T5's and wanted to check that the network config I'm putting in is rational.
The goal is to host a bunch of S10 zones on top of guest LDOM's, which in turn are managed by cluster for HA, the LDOM's are mostly S11.1 (one S10 later) and cluster is 4.1.
What the network guys have done is present an LACP group out of two Juniper ex4200's - these are in a juniper "virtual chassis" i.e. no shared components or single points of failure.
On the server end I've created a Link Aggregation then used this as as the physical to a VSW. All VLAN's are trunked down the LACP group and into the VSW. In the CDOM I've created a vnet for admin access to itself and presented a bunch more into LDOM's. I've gone for each vnet carrying a single vlan as its pvid rather than using vlan tags in the guests, I've also configured alt-mac-addrs for layered virtual networks to the zones.
