Growth Rebate Ind in Bill Back Rebate deals

 Hi,
While setting up bill back rebate deals we have Growth Rebate IND, when its been checked its asks for the Historical Start and End dates.How does this help a retailer if they are not using the RDW system and have minimum of 6 months data in RMS? What are the benefits of this Growth Rebate IND?
