Does Change Assistant need to be installed on the PeopleSoft Image host?

Does Change Assistant have to be installed on the host machine where the Peoplesoft Image is running? I tried installing and configuring Change Assistant on my pc (which is not the host for the image) and it cannot see the shared "pi_home" folder. If I install change assistant on the host, it can see the "pi_home" shared folder. I'm just wondering if I didn't set something up right which is preventing me from accessing the shared drives from another Windows pc on the network. I tried running \\10.240.169.101\pi_home from my pc and it says "The specified server cannot perform the
