Related Content window not appearing in 9.2 demo instance

we're running 8.53.07 on Amazon Web Services (AWS) for a demo instance. We see the Related Content link on appropriate pages, click it and select a Related Content. Nothing happens. We're expecting a frame to open on the bottom of the window with related content. Our queries are good. Our Related Content config seems right. Is there some service or security we need for the java script?
