Server name change

We are on PT8.52/FSCM 9.1 on RHL 6.0. and Microfocus COBOL Server Express 5.1. The application server,process scheduler share the same host .Cobol also installed on the same server[x].Now are are planning the server name to be as[x.y.com] so that Ren server will work smoothly.So can you advise this server change will it impact the cobol or oracle client?
Incase they are impacting can you please advise recommendations to overcome it.?
