how to remove old NFS server

I see the following message from time to time on each of my servers:

Dec  4 10:05:44 sss statd[1011]: [ID 859811 daemon.warning] statd: host hhh is not responding

The host hhh... is the name of a long ago retired NFS server.  How do I remove this host from NFS?
