runInstaller/config.sh throws X-Server access is denied on host

 While trying to configure IAM suite, the config.sh script is unable to launch the installer in GUI mode even though the DISPLAY variable has been set. Further, xclock and the weblogic domain creation wizard works fine with the same DISPLAY variable. Below is the error that is displayed while running config.sh for OIM 11GR2
-bash-3.00$ cd <Middleware_Home>/Oracle_IDM1/bin/
-bash-3.00$ ./config.sh
Starting Fusion Middleware Configuration Wizard
ORACLE_HOME set as /apps/weblogic/Oracle/Middleware/Oracle_IDM1
PATH set as /apps/weblogic/Oracle/Middleware/Oracle_IDM1/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/ccs/bin:/usr/xpg4/bin:/usr/sfw/bin:/usr/openwin/bin:/apps/tools/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/apps/tools/sbin:/apps/weblogic/bin
