Child record key field value not inherited from Parent record key

Hi,

I have a scenario here where a run control page has level 0 and level 1 record. Level 0 has oprid and run_cntl_id as key field and level 1 has oprid, run_cntl_id and one more key field. Level 1 record is on the grid. When I populate the grid the first row automatically inherits the oprid and run_cntl_id from parent record, but from 2nd row onwards it's not inheriting and updated with blank value. Is this a peopletool bug..? Could someone review and let me know the feedback..?
