arn driver fails to connect to a wpa protected network

I have a laptop that I just replaced the wireless network card to one that is supposed to be supported by Solaris 11.1. Indeed, the card is recognized and a arn0 device is created.  I can scan-wifi and I see my network.  I've created a wpa secobj with the pass key.  When I try to connect, the error "dladm: cannot connect: operation timed out" is displayed.
I can't figure out where the problem is.  From what I've read of the arn driver man page, this should be supported and working.

As a side note, when I boot fedora 19 on the same laptop, the wireless connects perfectly, so the hardware is working correctly.

Howdy, Stranger!
