DSCC agent running as non-root

OS: RHEL6
I'm trying to set up an DSCC7 agent for a ODSEE 11.1.1.7 DS instance on RHEL6. I created the agent as a non-root user. registered it with the ADS however, I am unable to start the service as the non-root user:

[unixldap@agent] /opt/ldap-unix $ dsccagent start
**** Cannot change process owner: Unable to switch process groupid to 0: errno=1
The agent /opt/ldap-unix/dsee7/var/dcc/agent has not been started

Does anyone know why it may be trying to change the group to 0?

Interestingly, the owner from 'info' comes up null as we;;:
[unixldap@agent] /opt/ldap-unix $ dsccagent info

Howdy, Stranger!
