Migration to Exadata from 11.1 RAC soruce to 11.2 using dataguard

Hi,

I am looking at the migration strategy of a database from 11.1 on RAC to 11.2 on Exadata. There are two paths of migration on exadata i.e logical or physical migration.

one method of logical migration is to use logical standby database and for physical migration is to use physical standby database but if source and target version is different then use transient logical rolling database upgrade feature.

Both cases require creation of physical standby first before converting it into logical standby. Physical standby require both source and target on same software level so I am not sure how that can be achive with exadata who comes with minumum 11.2 version.
