WF Role Question

Happy weekend, gurus!

I have a WF notification that is going to a workflow role that represents several users, including one that should not receive it. In trying to remove this extra user, I realized that I can find the record for the *list* of users in WF_ROLES but am unable to determine how it finds the several users to which it is attached. I have been stubling through related WF tables, but am finding nothing useful. I am unsure what would be relevant, but can gladly provide more information as needed.
