Using Notification Email Link with Interaction Hub

We are implementing Interaction Hub for all Employee and Manager Self-Service functionality.  We also want to force our employee and manager users to go through the interaction hub to access all these features.  The challenge is that we also use workflow and approval notifications that include links (as delivered) to take self-service users directly into the HCM application and by-pass the interaction hub all together. 

To solve this issue, we know that we could modify all the notification definitions to remove the link or replace it with a link to the Interaction Hub, but that would require a lot of updates to every notification used in self service.  Has anyone encountered this situation, and how did (or would) you handle this challenge?  Your thoughts?
