Configuring WNA on OAM version 11.1.2.0.0 to use AD that is registered with OVD version 11.1.1.4.0

The site I'm working at used to have WNA working through OAM version 11.1.1.5 and then OVD version 11.1.1.4.
I'm trying to find out what has broken a working WNA config on our system since upgrading from OAM 11rg1 to OAM 11rg2.
Previously, a protected URL registered with OAM 11.1.1.5 had WNA working, authenticating against an OVD 11.1.1.4 instance that had both AD and OID Adapters configured.
The OID logins would work and the AD logins would as well, using WNA, passing logins straight through. (Although I'm told the OAM config would blow itself away monthly and require a reconfig to get things working again.)
