Oracle workflow notification getting closed before approval

Hi,
We are having an issue in a custom workflow. A notification is sent to an approver which she is getting. After few minutes the notification gets closed automatically without getting any result as Approve/Reject.
There is on time-out logic involved in the workflow or notification and this is not a FYI notification.

Can you please help why it would close the notification and do we have any resolution for that?
