Creating a copy of your current PS_HOME on a new server when upgrading to PT 8.53.x

     We are planning to upgrade to PT 8.53.x from PT 8.51.11. We were planning to clone our current PS_HOME to a PS_HOME on a new server (this is something that we have done with past upgrades when creating our TEST environment and we have had NO resulting issues). Now we are being told by Oracle GSC that they do not support this method of creating a new PS_HOME but instead we need to do a fresh install. We are running the 9.1 FP2010 HRMS app which we have been using for the past 3 years. Doing a fresh install is way to much work
