upgrade of FSCM 9.0 - Cant go 9.2 and 9.1 is old

Trying to determine the best upgrade destination. We are starting at tools 8.51.12 and FSCM 9.0.  Initially we were considering tools 8.53 and FSCM 9.2 but 8.53 is unsupported with XP IE 8 clients.  The next most desirable destination would be tools 8.52 and FSCM 9.1 however we are just starting our upgrade and 9.1 looks like it looses fix support in November.  I'm staring to wonder if it might just be best to leave it alone until we get windows 7 rolled out (early 2016).  Would appreciate any insight anyone can offer.
