PeopleSoft Upgrade 9.2

We are upgrading from HCM 9.0 to 9.2. Oracle has delivered an upgrade image which is on tools 8.53.02 and PUM image is on tools 8.53.09. We installed the initial pass database on tools 8.53.09. Do you need to upgrade upgrade image to 8.53.09 or can we leave the upgrade image as is and only install required for upgrade.
