How to failover in cascaded dataguard?

Hi,

  I have setup a cascaded dataguard without standby logfile in Oracle 10gR2.  Now, I want to failover the cascaded standby database and found it hangs when submitting "alter database recover managed standby database finish force;"  How can I do?
