ePro Defaulting UOM vs Replenishing UOM

We are trying to default the most common ordering/requesting UOM in epro for our end users but have run into an issue with replenishment.  I was wondering if anyone has experienced this or has any ideas of how to set this up to accomplish our goal.  Here is our issue.

All of our items will have a supplier associated with a default supplier uom selected.  For items that are inventory, we want EA to default as the UOM in epro, since they can request EA from the warehouse.  The issue comes in when a replenishment is generated for those items in inventory, the default unit of measure for that supplier on those items are EA since we had selected that for our end users in ePro.  We want the replenishments to convert to higher units of measure but have not found a viable way to accomplish this.
